Big Blue soars in value with a little help from Jupiter & Uranus
Planets in Aquarius lift the Computer Giant
It comes as no surprise that IBM is once again back as the 'darling' of stock holders around the world. IBM's progress provides a classic text book case of how anyone can use astrology to trade the stock market.

From a low point in 1993, shares in IBM are now five times their value.

What happened in 1993?
Lou Gerstener took over. What else? Saturn the planet that brings everything down to earth, cuts out the superfluous and the pretentious was in Aquarius. A sign inextricably linked to Big Blue. It was a humiliating time for the monolith. They had been in love with themselves and the IBM way. Now the true impact of the Billion Dollar Blunder with MicroSoft was hitting home as the PC leap-frogged the minis and mainframes. However IBM responded well to Saturn. Belts were tightened. The threatened break-up of the organisation never happened.
(For astrologers Pluto in Scorpio was also giving them and all Aquarians and Leos a rotten time).

Now IBM are riding high. As a consumer of numerous ThinkPads - I know and the price is right too. (And they don't pay me to write this!) Celestially, what's happening now? Jupiter the planet that boosts companies and enables them to expand their market share is in Aquarius. Also Uranus (the planet of innovative, inanimate machines and change) is two years into it's seven year journey through Aquarius. It's a time of great gain through breaking the mould.

What about the future?
Jupiter leaves Aquarius in February 1998. From this point, growth may not be so obvious. However, the presence of Uranus in Aquarius will put IBM right back in the cutting edge of technology. 1999 and 2000 will be a strange year with some re-structuring (Saturn in Taurus), but also holds the possibility of breaking into realms that we can only dream about (Uranus and Neptune in Aquarius). This company will have a a very significant role in changing our consciousness and in promoting the alternative use of technology in the first decade of the next millenium.
