Sun Sign Astrology is not our speciality on this site. However, in response to separate requests from magazines in Australia, Philadelphia, New York and the UK, I have written some thoughts on the effect of the planetary movements on your Sun Sign (or the Sun in your chart) during 2007. If you were to make any decisions based on this type of general forecast, keep in mind that a personal forecast is far more precise as it is based on the exact position of 10 planets and your ascendant or rising sign.
Aries
Gaining the vision to take bigger risks
By the end of 2007, you will look back and realise that the previous two years (2005 and 2006) have been a rehearsal for this year. Strange as it may sound because you really have moved onto solid ground recently. You now have more respect for yourself as an individual and as a leader. What is happening in 2007 is that Jupiter in Sagittarius is adding to the potent mix of Saturn and Pluto in the fire signs. So, you have the experience and the authority; now Jupiter brings you the vision to step out of your boxed existence. This is a year of growth provided you take advantage of the opportunity.
Taurus
Sorting out confusion and exposing false friendliness.
Life is full of strange surprises this year. As you strive to get your existence into some order, there will always be some distraction that leads you into "la la land". For example, you might need to spend more time with your children (if you have them) or a lover, but friends seem to want to lead you astray. Or you want to take advantage of technology but a computer virus makes you lose trust or vital equipment develops an intermittent fault. This distrust becomes much less of a problem from September when Saturn moves from Leo into Virgo. From here on, you are better able to control practical matters.
Gemini
No such thing as a free lunch.
Despite your best efforts to operate solo in recent years, you are constantly reminded that you are reliant on the goodwill and contribution of others. With Jupiter in your opposite sign throughout 2007, it is likely that this support comes in the form of the generosity of others. This can be difficult for you as you lose self-respect when you feel that people see you as a lost cause or a charity. Not only does it affect your pride, but also you find that with every offer or invitation there is always some form of payback. To regain control over your life, you should work towards greater financial self-sufficiency. An important partnership will develop this year, but it must be mutually beneficial to work.
Cancer
Alternating between seasons of action and reaction.
The year is punctuated by two very active periods followed by months of easy progress. May, June and July 2007 are exciting times for you. New people come into your life. You are more creative and able to think 'outside the box'. October, November and December are extremely busy months for you. You are keen to participate in sports and show exceptional skill in November. Any activity that requires quick reflex reactions like driving, cricket fielding, surfing or tennis reveals a level of competence that surprises everyone - most of all you! Within your family, you are able to put your foot down firmly, but without alienating those closest to you.
Leo
A project takes the pressure off relationships.
Relationships have been quite trying for at least a year. The problem is that you have been trying to set boundaries, targets and bring order into your personal life. Yet, your partner has been following a less rigid or disciplined path. So, every day, just as you are getting everything organised, chaos comes into your life from outside. This has caused much upset and worry. The good news is that with Jupiter in Sagittarius for most of 2007, there are convenient ways around this problem. This planet gives both of you hope, flexibility and a willingness to learn from each other. For example, working on a project together can combine your partner's imagination and your common sense with great results.
Virgo
Freedom can be enjoyed as a state of mind.
Freedom, especially in terms of relationships is an experience that seems increasingly desirable in 2007. The planetary line up of Uranus opposite your sign and Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius, makes you an uncompromising partner. You can't see why you should be confined by rules or social conventions. You feel very restless and the idea that you should commit yourself body and soul to one person (or to one career or place) for your whole life is scary. Once you share these feelings, it's scary for your partner too! If your partner can give the intellectual space to consider radical alternatives, then this person is probably suited to your nature. If your partner is restrictive, expect surprising change in September.
Libra
Becoming mellower and more humane.
This year, you continue to enjoy a relatively stress free period of your life. And it is quite natural that your mind should start to wander to (and wonder at) higher concepts. Your eclectic mind ranges between spiritual matters, to channelling, onto scientific concepts like the unified theory of the cosmos. You are motivated to learn and capable of grasping the most bewildering of abstract and obtuse theories just now. Films, books and conversations are moving into new realms as planets join Neptune in Aquarius. Through these experiences, you are becoming a more compassionate friend and parent. Well, you have the opportunity to become more than you were. It's your life. The choice is yours!
Scorpio
Trying to pin down an elusive truth soon seems futile.
For the first part of the year, you continue to feel that you have not found your niche or that wherever you are you never quite fit in. This restriction on your life will lift. There's a new incarnation about to take place, but it won't happen until September 2007. Until then, you have to bide your time in limbo land while you studiously work out your plans. Recently a relationship issue surfaced. It has left unresolved issues lurking dangerously in your consciousness. These loose ends bother you. However, pining down the truth is like chasing a wet bar of soap in a cloudy water. By September, you feel like a door has been unlocked, these burning issues seem irrelevant and you can move into a whole new world.
Sagittarius
Your recharged power enables you to realise big plans.
You are emerging through an extraordinary time in your life. Your world has changed a great deal. While people can see the changes in your lifestyle, the inner, psychological changes are deeper but less obvious. Though you may have been brought low through crises in recent years, you now feel at least a foot taller. You have shifted into a new paradigm. The passage of Jupiter through your sign throughout 2007 will make this a memorable year for you. Whether it is simply good fortune, fate, a guiding spirit looking after you or great judgement, I can't say. However, throughout this year, you tend to be in the right place at the right time to benefit from whatever is on offer.
Capricorn
Becoming the unsung hero & later the productive worker.
The first two months of the year are going to be the busiest for you. In January, the Sun in Capricorn makes you something of a star in other people's eyes but more with the modesty of Clarke Kent than the flamboyance of Madonna. With the combined energy of Mars, you have confidence, vitality and feel physically and mentally motivated early in the year. The next important phase starts in September as Saturn moves into the earth sign of Virgo. This is the start of a rewarding phase where your working life progresses and the structure of your life slips into a productive routine.
Aquarius
I see a vision, but others can't or won't share it - yet!
Your conscious mind is going through deep changes these days. In a matter of years you have switched from being a left brained logical type to a more visual, musical and artistic right brained type. What's happening? A few years back Uranus was switching on your scientific mind. Now Neptune is inspiring your imaginative, creative and spiritual mind. Gradually your world is becoming a more beautiful place and you see the value of compassion. Up until September, your new insight and liberal mindedness feels cramped by your partner's and other people's prejudice. From here on, you feel less restricted as Saturn moves into Virgo.
Pisces
Necessary distractions from pursuing your future plans.
You have been riding a wave in the past few years. However, more recently (Christmas 2006), you have felt slight tremors of instability and crosscurrents. Where you once had clarity, you feel less certain of your direction this year. One reason is that Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius bring compelling distractions throughout the year. The plus side of this is that you need to chase financial opportunities to live. The down side is that you have to compromise your long-term vision for short-term gain. Your greatest opportunity to learn starts in September when Saturn moves into Virgo. Some form of structured education may be imposed on you, but you find it very hard to concentrate. Yet, you can learn more from experience and other people than at any other time.
